STONERROCK.COM - THUNDER PERFECT MIND

Review by: Rob Wrong (StonerRock.com)

Doom on...what can I say? I am basking so ever deep in Doom right now. What is Doom, and what defines it? These guys are doom to say the least. The riffs are evil like Soulpreacher...kind of has that hardcore edge too. Pale Divine pretty much just lay a rock/metal path steady and heavy. There are some cool changes and what not, but nothing to rough or disruptive to your head banging, which is a good thing right? The vocals are melodic and strong throughout the record. Sometimes shouting at the top of his range, and other times more softly sang, but still melodic either way. Very strong band rhythm section. Nice percussive work...very precise. You can really hear this when the band breaks into a more straight ahead rockin' part. These guys would totally fit on a bill with Penance or Solitude Aeturnus.

Not sounding really like either but sharing similar interests if that makes any sense. I like it and will listen to it a few more times....epic guitar rock metal blues doom!!! Saint Vitus influenced and drenched in evil...This is a good addition to my doom collection, I can honestly say that- check it out.
